Troubleshooting Tips

Are you having issues accessing a Coulter Library Research Database? Here are some troubleshooting tips: 

Accessing the Resource From the Coulter Library Website ( www.sunyocc.edu/library )

Please make sure you are accessing the database from the Coulter Library website ( www.sunyocc.edu/library ) . If you are off campus you should see something similar to this ezproxy.sunyocc.edu at the beginning of the URL. On campus or off, if you do not see a reference to OCC or Onondaga on the page you may not be accessing it from the Coulter Library website. The same is true if you are asked to log in and the login does not look familiar to you.  If you are not sure if you are accessing the database from the Coulter Library website ( www.sunyocc.edu/library ) then please visit our A-Z Database page to be sure: https://sunyocc.libguides.com/az.php .

Browser Tips ( e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and etc.)

  • Please try clearing your web browsing history (cache and cookies).
  • You could also try using a private or incognito browsing window.
  • Many issues can resolved by using a different browser.
     

For Example: If you are having issues with Chrome, you could try using Firefox, or opening Chrome in a New incognito window.

Username or Password Issues

  • Make sure to log in with the that same username and password you use for Blackboard and WebAdvisor
  • If you do not know your password please go to https://cas.sunyocc.edu/cas/login  and Select Reset password ( All others).  If that does not work, please send an email to helpdesk@sunyocc.edu and remember to include a phone number they can reach you at.
